| NWF President submitting memorandum |
Tirunelveli: National Women's Front had organized several protest demonstrations and mass rallies across Tamilnadu in cities like Chennai, Covai,Madurai and Nellai demanding the release of Muslim prisoners languishing in Jails for more than 7 years. NWF urged to consider them during the prisoner's release on compassionate grounds on the anniversary of Anna Birth day celebration which falls on September 14.
Later on, a memorandum was also submitted by Fathima Alima, State President of NWF, to the district collector of Tirunelveli district. Collector assured her to consider the plight of Muslim prisoners and assured to take necessary steps.
