Nellai:
Every
year 5 million people die of cancer in India. 26 per cent of women affected by
uterine cancer in the world live in India. The number of women affected by breast
cancer was 10% in 1990 which increased by 24 percent in 2011. As it has become vital to make all women aware
about the cancer National Women Front (NWF)organised a health awareness camp in
Nellai(TN)in January 2012.
The
health camp was preside by NWF district President Mumtaz Alima anmd Over 300 women attended the camp.
Dr
R Anbu Raj Peace Health Centre Services, Dr Mangai Arasi from the Royal
Children's hospital educated the attendees.
