London:New sportswear designed for women who want to cover up, and some important changes to the rules, are inspiring Muslim girls to take up sport – and compete internationally.

Amid the furore over the state of undress of one of the UK's most  successful female cyclists, the increasing aceptance of sportswear that allows Muslim women to compete has garnered little attention.

NWF welcomes ramazan


Tanjore : A public meeting was organised by National Womens Front (NWF) to welcome the holy moth of Ramazan at Thiruvelangudi at Tanjore district on 7th July 2012.

Sister M Asiya Banu (NWF-Tanjore Dist President) delivered speech on the importance of movement for women to empower them and sister F Sajitha Banu  delivered speech on the theme of welcoming ramazan.

NWF Submits Memorandum to release Muslim prisoners

Tirunelveli: National Women's Front had organized several protest demonstrations and mass rallies across Tamilnadu in cities like Chennai, Covai,Madurai and Nellai demanding the release of Muslim prisoners languishing in Jails for more than 7 years. NWF urged to consider them during the prisoner's release on compassionate grounds on the anniversary of Anna Birth day celebration which falls on September 14.

NWF demands TN Government to release Muslim Prisoners

Chennai: Tamil Nadu government should release Muslim prisoners who are languishing in jail for more than seven years on compassionate grounds by using powers given to them by Indian Constitution and Criminal Procedure Code to release convicts serving life-term, demanded National Women Front (NWF).

Staging a protest meeting here on Sunday, NWF demanded the release of Muslim prisoners on former Chief Minister C. N. Annadurai’s birth anniversary (September 15).
Muslim women who had gathered in huge numbers in the four cities namely  Chennai,Coimbatore,  Madurai and Tirunelveli of Tamil Nadu rally with demand "In independent India, among all the marginalised communities it is the Muslim community which has been affected largely on many accounts and keeping that in account the Muslim prisoners should be released".

NWF to hold Protest rallies in Tamil Nadu to release of Muslim prisoners

Chennai: Demanding the release of Muslim prisoners on former Chief Minister C. N. Annadurai’s birth anniversary (September 15), the National Women’s Front has planned to organise a massive protest in the city on June 24.

Addressing a press conference, the NWF organisers said that in independent India, among all the marginalised communities it is the Muslim community which has been affected largely on many accounts and keeping that in account this protest was being organised placing a demand to release the Muslim prisoners who are languishing in jails for more than 7 years.

Healthy Life Happy Life’ campaign concludes in Dammam


Dammam: A Two weeks long health campaign ‘Healthy Life Happy Life’ by India Fraternity Forum (IFF) concluded with Health Seminar for women at Rose Restaurant Auditorium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.


Dr. Abida Tabassum, Gynecologist, Dar Al Siha Medical Center, presented an awareness talk about Women’s Health. She shed light on different health decease related to woman. This was followed by a question & answer session where most of the ladies who participated in a large number grabbed the opportunity by clearing their doubts & queries.
Executive Council Member of IFF Women’s wing-Kerala Chapter and Chief Guest for the program, Mrs. Tasneem Suneer gave a brief talk about how we should lead a healthy life style by quoting some example and verses from the Quran.

IFF Holds Health Seminars in Damman

Dammam, Jun 13: India Fraternity Forum organized a health seminar for men and women as part of a two-week-long health campaign 'Healthy Life Happy Life' in Khobar at Rafa Medical Center Auditorium and in Jubail at Cookxon Auditorium.
Three health seminars were conducted on the same day, two for men in Khobar and Jubail and one for women in Jubail.

Dr Prashanth, general practioner, Khobar and Dr G Shivarudrappa focused on different aspects like hypertension, diabetics, cholesterol and heart attack in Khobar and jubail respectively. Both of them provided information and instructions to keep the oneself free from diseases. There was a question and answer session in which both doctors answered all questions from the audience.
